Rio Ferdinand throws his hat in the ring for the England job

RIO FERDINAND has dropped an unsubtle hint that he would like to manage England.

Rio Ferdinand is keen on managing England
The FA are searching far and wide as they seek to appoint Roy Hodgson's successor.
Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce, Express Sports understands, has already held talks over becoming the new Three Lions boss.
And Ferdinand, who won 81 caps during his international career, gave an unequivocal answer when asked by Copa 90 presenters if he would like the opportunity to manage England.
He said: "Yeah all day long."
In discussing England's problems at Euro 2016, the 37-year-old said: "When you don't know your starting 11 when you get to the tournament and don't know your best formation, there's a problem.
"When you perform in a team, individuals can only perform to their greatest ability when the platform at the bottom and the foundations are set.
"There needs to be a structure and you need to understand what you want your team to do.
"When a player isn't performing too well as an individual, he can fall back on that platform of structure, the team and unity."
