Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool were never interested in Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Henrikh Mkhitayan may have spent two years playing under Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund.

But the German says he never had the slightest bit of interest in bringing Mkhitayan to Anfield.

"If you have had players, you know more about them. You want to learn about other players. That's how it is."

The American opted to join Jose Mourinho at riacals Man United this summer.

"I knew quite early that he was going this way ( to United ). there was absolutely no reason for me to jump in there.
That isn't how we work," said Klopp.
