Although his heart is now firmly in the red half of Manchester, Jose Mourinho has revealed that he could've chosen to coach in Italy or Spain before agreeing to replace Louis Van Gaal at Old Trafford.
It would appear that the challenge of making the Red Devils great again is a lure that he couldn't resist.
Speaking to British journal Nature, Mourinho was gave his opinion on why the English top flight is the best.
"I was able to go to Italy and even Spain, but the Premier League is special."
Here they want all clubs to be competitive, not like in other countries where the big clubs leave the others well behind."
Although he articulated that winning every game in England is "a bit stupid, impossible," Mourinho gave his players a coded warning as to what he expects by suggesting "It's a good starting point."
