When Bastian Schweinsteiger signed for Manchester United last summer, Louis Van Gaal was hoping his experience would prove to be valuable for his side.
But, after making just 18 Premier League appearances, it seems as though the German's career at Old Trafford is coming to an end.
The 32-year-old was plagued with injury problems last season and Jose Mourinho has already made it very clear that the player isn't in his plans.
When the Red Devils signed the midfielder, many thought that it was a very useful acquisition. After all,he had lifted eight Bundesliga titles for Bayern Munich during an illustrious career.
But, the fact was that Schweinsteiger wasn't in good condition- hence why the German club allowed him to leave for just £6.6 million.
