Manchester United striker Ashley Fletcher has completed his transfer to West Ham United.
The striker joined the Red Devils as a 13-year-old, but did not make a single first-team appearance for the North West giants.
Fletcher starred for Man United in both the Under-21 Premier League and UEFA Youth League, netting four goals in 17 appearances across the two competitions.
Earlier this year, Fletcher finally experienced senior football via his loan stint at Barnsley, whom he helped to promotion from League One.
Indeed, the 20-year-old netted six league goals for the Tykes, including one in the play-off final victory over Millwall.
Now, Fletcher has left Man United in order to pen a four-year contract with West Ham.
As reported by the Red Devils’ official website, Fletcher rejected offers from numerous other clubs in order to join the Irons.
West Ham are heavily active in the summer transfer market ahead of their much-anticipated move to the Olympic Stadium, with the east London club having spoken publicly about their pursuit for a big-name striker.
In a surprising manner, the co-owners have confirmed offers for Alexandre Lacazette and Carlos Tevez, among other front-line targets.
Slaven Bilic has already secured some exciting additions ahead of his second campaign as a manager in England though, with Havard Nordtveit, Sofiane Feghouli and Gokhan Tore all having joined.
