An Independent Regulatory Commission heard that the Portuguese chief accepted the comments he made before the Liverpool clash constituted imprper conduct.
However, Mourinho denied they brought the game into disrepute.

The Commission found the disrepute element of the charge proven and, as well as being fined, the United boss was given a warning about his future behaviour.

In addition, Mourinho will now serve an immediate one-match ban after he admitted using abusive and /or insulting words towards a match official during his side's game against Burnley last weekend.

The incident happened in or around the tunnel area during half-time.
